Southeast Queens First High Tech Clinic to Target Disparities
This week CEO and President of Community Wellness Centers of America, LLC (CWCOA), Dr. Robert Evans, has secured private investment financial funding for a pilot medical program to bring the first high tech clinic to Southeast Queens. Dr. Evans is presently in negotiation with several property owners including Rochdale Village to develop commercial real estate that will provide accessible medical services for this community.
Over the next few months, CWCOA will initiate plans to work in cooperation with the State of New York’s Public Health Office to secure sites to house future clinics. Working closely with local hospitals, medical schools, and specialized physician group practices, CWCOA will create a comprehensive group of medical personnel to help bring accessible medical services to low-income residents throughout the area.
This new healthcare model will provide integrated outpatient services that do not currently exist for the residents of the Southeast Queens community. The focus of the program is targeted pathologies including cardiovascular, diabetes, orthopedic, women’s health, pediatrics, infectious diseases, nuclear medicine, and mental health services.
All services will be coordinated through a centralized depository of clinical information through CWCOA, ensuring that when services are provided, a complete medical history for each patient is available – making the delivery of efficient, medical care a reality. The intergation of EMR technolgy,Telemedicine and other newly formed medicial technologies will be the catylist to a healthier community.
In support of this healthcare initiative, Dr. Evans is finalizing his discussions with highly credentialed physicians interested in supporting this pilot healthcare program including Dr. Gerald Deas, who is currently considering a position as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee for CWCOA.
Due to Dr.Evans and his staffs tireless efforts, this pilot healthcare initiative will greatly assist the community in establishing not only effective medical care, but also meaningful employment opportunities for the residents to the Southeast Queens community.
